On Frozen Pond

It was a clear, sunny but very cold day today.  By afternoon, I was more than ready to go out for a walk to see if I could find some Great Horned Owls. No luck this time but it was a great walk.  Blipped is the pond where I found the swans with seven cygnets this past Spring.  As you can see, it has frozen over enough that a family were enjoying the day skating.

I did find something interesting but it was a little gruesome to blip.  A carcass of a Canada Goose with a little vole that has made it a winter home.  Cute to see...but rather gross, too.  Nature's way...
