No 143: Common Gull

I ID'd this gull myself, but had it confirmed by someone who knows their birds a lot better than me. Not so common actually - compared to black-headed and herring gulls. So, I haven't given up yet on my challenge, but time is running out. I went for a walk in an area in Rotherham, where one or two unblipped birds had been reported. One I didn't see, the other I managed to flush but not photograph, so seeing this gull was a bonus. It was a beautiful day; the wind had dropped and it was cold, crisp and clear.
