Calais...

....and then Germany, Switzerland and finally Austria for a winter break.

We’re travelling by coach which we’ve done several times before and are very happy to do. We can enjoy the scenery without any worries!

A great crossing in warm sunshine and then onto Metz for our overnight stay. We have driven past several war cemeteries dating back to WW1 this afternoon, beautifully maintained by the Commonwealth War Commission.

The Novotel hotel is new, clean and my bed is comfortable..
