Gone too

I had wondered what the loud and irritating noise outside was but by the time I'd bothered to look out the window the tree surgeon was halfway through sawing down the trunk of the second birch tree - the first one was already gone. Don't know why; I guess they were fairly old for birch trees though. At least the crows can't be tempted to build a disastrous nest in them as they've done in the past! I'll miss 'em though, they were pretty things and definitely enhanced the occasional sunrise blip!
