Encrusted

Lovely to be out in the sunshine even though temps were just below freezing. Spotted these trees which looked like they had been sprayed with foam and they really stood out against the dark background.

I decided to wear sunglasses whilst walking about, but it was such a faff taking them off whilst using the view finder, then putting them back on again.

This was a real challenge to process to get the exposure looking right and I'm still not happy with it. I wanted to get detail in the highlights yet still show how bright the sun was. I think maybe I should have let the shadows go darker to emphasis the contrast? Our eyes do such a great job at interpreting a scene in real life which the camera/computer just can't.
