Energy Levels

This might look like a picture of a London suburb (including tube bus stop). But this is in fact Chorlton, Manchester. Beech Road to be precise and if you look carefully in the background, you'll see our local pub The Parlour has been changed to Pete's Cafe and is actually part of a film set. We literally have cameras filming in Chorlton every other week and the street at the end of our road seems to be a favourite. I'm not complaining, it makes the daytime pram walk that little bit more exciting, that's for sure! Not even sure what this was for this time. Last week we had a Sky drama, the week before a comedy for BBC and last month a new series for ITV.

In other news, Audrey sort of did it again. Only two wake-ups, got herself back to sleep on the first and was assisted on the second. She slept 14 hours in total which is way much more than the guidelines suggest for a 6 month baby so I suspect we are in the midst of one of them there growth spurts you hear so much about as a new mother!

Think updating my blip with Audrey's 'almost sleeping through' patterns might get a little dull - so how about I leave it there. Sleep will only be mentioned if it worsens again and it affects my life immeasurably, deal??

One benefit of Audrey sleeping though is that I'm getting a bit more sleep too - although think it will be a while before I sleep through! And I can definitely feel my energy levels returning as a result. The dark circles are still there but after six months of no sleep, I think they may take some time to reduce.

Gemma and her American chap, Aaron were here today babysitting Audrey. I was a little apprehensive about it as I hadn't met Aaron and I have my weird 'strangers with Audrey' hang up. But I needn't have worried. He was lovely, Audrey really took to him and Gemma was still looking after her in the main.

I spent the day in my office, sorting. Time to get my head and life straight ready for the New Year. Not quite sure what my work life/business will look like but clearing the decks seems as good a start as any!

Audrey's just gone to bed, I'm spurred on to do some more sorting before a night of baby food batch cooking and Christmas card writing. Then I hope I'll sleep through, never mind Audrey!
