78 Derngate, Northampton

Today I visted the above address, something that I have been promising myself for ages. This is the only house in England that has been completly re furbished by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and is just stunning. It was completed in 1917 but the house was built in 18o5. This photos is of a leaded glass screen along side the stairs. The glass is origional and breathtakingly beautiful. It is also pretty amazing that it has never been damaged or removed. The whole of the house has been restored to its 1917 beauty. This is well worth a visit and the coffee shop is good too.
