Trent and Mersey Canal, Wychnor

Beautiful strong haw frost this morning as I was driving up the A38 to a training course. I just needed somewhere to stop on the freeway.

Fortunately a turning over a canal bridge presented itself so I pulled off in the hope of finding an image. I was surprised to find a couple in a boat negotiating a lock adjacent to the bridge. They were on their way to Loughborough on the coldest day of the winter so far.

This shot was from lock side with the canal to the right and the slipway to the left.
