Marjorie's ramblings

Sarah C Gray

Sarah came to conduct the North Tyne Voices this afternoon because our regular conductor has been bereaved.

We were very lucky that she was free to help out. What a talent. There was a big turnout this afternoon and the choir was completely focussed and worked very hard. The results were wonderful.

After the rehearsal I asked it I might take a photograph. My friend, Joy, was behind me and started to encourage Sarah to sing and move while I worked. I have several photographs of her so I decided to give you a triptych.

I visited Judith and Jim's house on the way home and had a good chat with Judith's 2 daughters and Jim's daughter. Judith had a stroke a few days ago, but she is making good progress and has been transferred to a stroke rehabilitation unit in Hexham. (Who knew we have one?!) Jim has gone into a care home for now, until it is clear what the future holds for them both. It was lovely to see the three daughters: one from Birmingham, one from Wales and one from America.

Margret and Frank came this morning. Frank is one of Margret's three sons and they always come to see us during a visit to Margret. Later in the day I dressed Marget's elbow again. It's making good progress.

The big news is that I can now sit at my desk with no discomfort. I've had a raised desk and have been standing since the operation. More progress!
