in an instant

Popped to see the Oldster this morning.
I took up two small  photo albums from 1957 (Austria) and 1979 (North Africa) and a  photograph from his wedding day  (to my mother)1954.    He couldn't remember a thing about any of it.
Nor could he remember my mother's name but he was clear on how "beautiful and clever" he recalled her to be.

Pete and I went for a walk up to the airfield this afternoon.
What glorious sunny weather!
