Studying ancient history.
My daughter JaneP70 and I went for a walk on Formby beach this morning before she returned home. After the recent storm there seem to have been more of the underlying ancient mud bed exposed. This happens occasionally, although I haven't seen it to the extent it was this morning.
Research was carried out in the 1980/90s by Gordon Roberts, one of Jane's teachers, on these mud banks, the human and animal footprints date back up to 3000 BC. Further research was carried out with John Moores University, Liverpool.
A further brief account is in this link if it is of interest.
