I got out!
Although there's still been no rain to wash away the snow, the warmer temperatures (high 39 today) made side roads a bit more passable, so I headed out to the pharmacy and supermarket to stock up. It felt great to be out, especially as it was a sunny day, and the parking lots of the stores had a good deal of snow-free areas to walk on safely. There were a lot of people in the store, not surprisingly, but they were somewhat short-staffed, as you see above. So the shelves were not very full, both because deliveries hadn't taken place and staff were not there to put what food was there on display. I think I'll be okay through the next storm, which will arrive tomorrow. The only question is will it be rain, or snow, or some combination thereof. This has been the snowiest month in all of Seattle's recorded history, and we're not even halfway through.
