Camilla's amaryllis, just coming into flower

I've worked at the dining room table for much of the day, which has great views out across the back garden and over the valleys. I noticed the new amaryllis bulb that Camilla gave us at Christmas, was ready to begin to unfurl.

This morning the bud was all green. When I took this picture it was about 9pm this evening. An amazing transformation. I also noticed a second flower head is beginning to appear from the bulb. It could be quite a show in the next few days. 

I used my little Fujifilm camera as it is has my only workable flash, built in to the camera. I'm quite pleased with how it has coped with just ambient light from a couple of table lamps on a stand.
