New Critter At The Trough

Imagine my surprise when this fellow turned up looking for a snack today, in broad daylight no less.  I know he looks as though he's growling but he's chewing.  He's been here before, but only at night.  We've had so much snow that I'm thinking some of his food sources are now buried.   My back door view is in Extra.  We had a lot more snow overnight as did much of the Pacific Northwest.  One good thing, it ought to be terrific skiing for those who are so inclined.
