Ms Red Bellied Woodpecker

Ms Red-Bellied Woodpecker spent time going between the feeder and the trees between the rain showers.

Between the morning rain and the afternoon showers, I sat outside for about an hour. Despite Spirit being in my lap or under my chair, it didn't deter the birds.

There were chickadee, chipping sparrow & titmice at the feeders.

I was feeling depressed about yet another raining day when my brother sent me a message to say he was snow bound.  He was doing crossword puzzles and watching the snowplows and snowmobiles.  He's hoping for better weather tomorrow so he can get on the road again.

I think I'll take our dreich weather over all his snow any day!
