A good burn up!

A flat calm day today, not a breath of wind, and mild too.  A perfect day for getting into the garden.  I got a lot of tidying up and weeding done and then started cutting back the hebe hedge.  After lunch I enlisted Mike's help with the electric trimmer, to do the top and neaten the sides a bit!

When I came back from B's Mike had lit the brazier and was burning some old wood and the hedge trimmings.  I stayed out for another hour or so, feeding the fire and watching the flames as darkness fell.  A great day, lots done and a wonderful bonfire.  And the smell of wood smoke  in my hair and clothes!
