Heart of straw

My first attempt at straw plaiting, last autumn... and Valentines week seemed a good time to blip it!

It's easy once you get into the rhythm of plaiting... and the wheat is a special variety with strong hollow stems. The ears looked so lovely I left them on, with the heart natural and un-adorned!
