Sweet Reindeer

This is one of two Christmas Reindeer that I purchased while my son and I lived near Kansas City Missouri. During the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays, we would decorate the mantel while the logs burned in the fireplace. These reindeer were our favorites.

Each item I bring out this Christmas reminds me of our Christmases together here in Florida and the six years we lived in Missouri. We'd never seen snow until we moved there and we loved it!!! Snow made the holidays more like the movies you see on television, like my favorite "White Christmas". I even have a photograph of his first snowball and the biggest grin a 13 year old could have on his face because he knew he would be throwing at me. I loved seeing that grin.

The warm tropical Christmases we spent in Ocala are etched in my mind also. Especially of Jim getting everything to do with baseball. From a very young age, he loved throwing and hitting the ball. He won many awards for his pitching and hitting skills playing in the local Little League.

I miss those days but because of my love of photography, I have images to bring back those days in the sun and snow.
