Down Town

A day of two halves today.
The Little Misses had a fun morning cutting up clothes and putting them on Archie (see extras) He has the patience of a saint!!
I had to take his dress off when we went out for our walk after lunch!
Then there was a bit of homework and packing to go swimming.
Then there was lots of shouting, crying, arguing, stomping and wailing.
I told Mr K to take Miss L swimming and leave Miss E at home.
That was fine by her apparently. She shouted that before stamping up the stairs to make sure we understood how completely fine with her that was.
Miss L was distraught and didn't want to go without Miss E. She's a natural peacemaker.
And anyway the pool was only open for twenty more minutes by the time they left.
So I told Mr K to take her to the cafe.
Meanwhile Miss E and I continued arguing about God knows what. She ended up losing her phone for a week (Mr K's old one  which she's giddy to have been given. No Sim just more storage and better photos then her iPad)
All she had to do was not let me get to five. Sigh.
Mr K called to say that Miss L would love us to join her in Costa. I didn't think Miss E deserved it but getting out of the house was too tempting. And Mr K thought some family time might be nice.
Blah, blah, blah.
It was not nice.
Miss E sat on a table on her own at the opposite end of the shop. Ostentatiously not looking at us, not wanting anything to eat or drink, not being a reasonable human being.
OMFG.
Heartbreaking when you know she does actually want to be with us and does want a huge bit of cake and hot chocolate and does actually just want a cuddle but would rather claw her own eyes out than admit it.
I walked back up the hill to get in a few more miles. And to have a bit of peace.
And to take this photo!
Five miles today. Whoop whoop!!
