Iris 'Harmony'

I headed just outside the back door to catch this Iris 'Harmony' in pouring rain. The light was darkening as dusk approached. I wanted to record the opening of the first flowers from the large pot of bulbs which we bought from Chris at Minchinhampton country Market in December.

The pot has layers of bulbs designed to flower in succession. These first flowers are beautiful and I have high hopes for all the others to come.  The label suggests there will be: Narcissus Segovia, Tete a Tete, Tulip Brown Sugar, Exotic Emperor, Ballerina and of course these Iris 'Harmony'.
