Fresh Snow

Only 1/2", but now we can't see the ice underneath. Walking is reduced to a slow shuffle and even then the odd stomach grabbing skid. Trying to negotiate any kind of undulation is nearly impossible and even getting the tripod steady awkward.

Tried various shutter speeds to get some indication of falling snow, but that didn't work. Maybe the snow was too fine to show up, or I didn't try slow enough.

Anyway, liked this little scene with the wind blown snow stuck to the upright foreground tree. Also the fallen tree helps to draw the eye in and get a bit of depth.

Interesting when you post a blip and choose a thumbnail how you begin to see other compositions that might work better.
