Preparing for Winter

I missed the opportunity to get a picture of a woodpecker over lunch, but made up for it when I saw one of these little critters scurrying about as I came home. First there was one squirrel sitting on a branch. Lower the camera, raise the camera, and suddenly there are two squirrels! I can only imagine these two are preparing for winter and squirreling away food in their tree (pun definitely intended).

And winter is most certainly on its way. The windchill was brutal today, yet we've managed to avoid snow so far. For those plagued by winter - stay warm and drive safe!
