Meeting Day

After hobbling down stairs like a geriatric I treated myself to a cooked breakfast with filter coffee and relaxed.
Caught up on e-mails, read the local paper, paid some bills and went down town for coffee with Clare. Gussie got a new bed and Clare a new plant, the bed is a quite large settee cushion, the plant a weary looking ex window dressing, £5 each from our local furniture store which is closing down.

Then Meeting One with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor about raising the town adoption of the Armed Forces Covenant At the next council meeting.

Meeting Two followed straight on with the Town Clerk regarding the Sea Sunday Parade format for this year. All change with the new council facilities nearing completion.

Home for some time with Clare and dinner before Meeting Three. The local RBL Branch Meeting. A quite lively meeting, especially when the Armed Forces Covenant was described by one of the ‘civilian’ members as “just a bit of paper, not worth it”.

By the end of the day I felt all “meetinged” out!
