Caroline's Bannocks

A breeze from the north, the odd light shower, and mostly overcast.  Some light snow tonight.

A fine lazy Sunday morning to start the day.  Walkies with Sammy  and then headed out after lunch.  Been visiting friends and family in Vidlin.  First stop at Caroline's (Robertson), and then headed to see peerie cousin Leona.  Mam and dad popped by at teatime, so lots of tea has been drunk today.  More walkies with Sammy this evening.  Feet up by the fire, and a few movies.

We arrived at Caroline's, and a good catchup waiting for Victor and John-Arthur to arrive home.  On their arrival, out came the tea, and the home bakes too.  Caroline makes some of the best bannocks in Shetland, and even got some to take home in a doggy bag.  She had also made some tasty seeded rolls, and some tasty sheep cheese to out in it.  I will need to learn how to bake some bannocks for my own visitors.  Taken at Old Schoolhouse, Vidlin.
