Durga

One of my favourite deities, and second wife to Brahma, whose temple - the only one - is in Pushkar, which is why it is such a holy place to Hindus.
Legend has it that Brahma dropped a lotus flower from the heavens to the ground, and that the Pushkar Lake sprang up.

We got caught up in a groom's procession to his wedding (extra) which just happens to be occurring as I write this: outside my bedroom! At least it's keeping the monkeys away!
