Flood defences

Much better day today than yesterday, cycled along to Tilly for the Sunday paper.  The fields are still flooded from yesterday's rain and the reflection is disturbed by ripples of ice still floating on the water.  Although flooded fields look dramatic, they really are effective flood defenses and keep the water off the main road as well as releasing it slowly into the river so it doesn't burst its banks when it gets to Tillycoultry.
