Steaming On

The steam train made an appearance at the Dockyard today along with an Aveling steam engine. Both a welcome sight from the windy ship deck and more interesting than the filming skip - which I spent a fair bit of time in today.

Final day of strike today and reinstatement is complete. The ship is ready to re-open to the public tomorrow. All props, filming equipment, crew and litter gone. Mid-ship structure repainted, rooms cleaned, fire extinguishers back and signs reinstated.

The deck will be repainted from grey to green in the summer but otherwise no sign a film crew has been onboard. I guess that means I did my job properly. When the production is about to broadcast I’ll be sure to let you know all about it.
