Bletsoe Castle The Moat

Line dancing this morning,  visiting Bletsoe Castle this afternoon, not strictly a castle, the first house built on the site was in the mid 1300s, Margaret Beaufort, was supposed too have been born at he Castle which preceded this Mansion House,  it is not our of the question as her mothers first husband was Lord of the Manor, though she remarried Edward Beaufort.  Queen Elisabeth the 1st is said to have stayed overnight and James the 1st visited several times.just a brief history of Bletsoe Castle.
