The big smoke
A trip down to London for a surprise birthday party for my niece. We arrived in the afternoon, and despite the persistent rain, popped around the corner from Kings X station to see a fairly new retail park called Coal Dropped Yard. We then went to the Tate Modern to see the much celebrated exhibition of Bonnard. A fantastic retrospective of his work through the ages and an artist who surprised me with his candid and intimate scenes, many of them to look like they were spontaneously capturing a moment reminiscent of street photography. Photography was a big passion and there are photos taken of him by Henri Cartier Bresson. I can thoroughly recommend it.
