Apples and Oranges

Soooo...as I suspected, ivy and I are not a good combination... It's almost dead... and the little poinsettia is too. The poinsettia, how ever, wasn't meant to last past Christmas. They are grown to be short lived. I didn't know that and was a bit put down by the fact that it wasn't feeling well. My supervisor at the greenhouse told me 1: that fact about the smal poinsettias and 2: ivy are really difficult plants... Made me feel a bit better, and she was a bit surprised that my little poinsettia was alive a month after Christmas. Well done, she told me.
But today was the end of the line. Yoda has moved to the fir tree instead and he thinks that place is even better as a hiding place. I removed the ivy branches that still had some life in them and rinsed off the soil. I though I'd give it a try and just place them in water. The succulent will be better on its own, I think. I've also planted my two geranium cuttings from work, hoping both will survive. And, I've also planted seeds from a Chinese tea plant. They are a bit fussy and want a little pot/seed and a plastic cover for as long as it's needed and they want to be moist all the time and be in a cool and protected place. It can take between 1-6 months to grow - if they grow at all, and since these seeds were supposed to be planted before 2007...well... But, when I asked my supervisor she told me to give it a try because you never know!
