Twigs and Leaves

Getting a shot in the rain is not easy whilst trying to keep the camera dry with a plastic bag. I could see water spread out under the ice with each footstep as I gingerly crossed the drive. Once on the grass - not too bad.

I thought this little sprouting of twigs from the base of an ash, with a few trapped leaves, captured the mood of the day. I liked the wet moss and shiny leaves, trickle of water and ice, all portraying the damp wet day and I remember the rain dripping on my shoulders as I crouched over the camera.
