Clear sky and clear road
Was pleased and surprised to see this view coming from the metro today. that's probably the first time this year - clear sky and no traffic of this busy street.
I thought I should call this Blip - three turrets, the two nearer to the camera are the part of Arseny Morozov building which during the recent history changed a number of hands staying as part of the state property for representative purposes.
It was built around the turn of 19/20 century by Arseny Morozov who had travelled to Sintra in Protugal and was so impressed and inspired by Pena palace that commissioned this design.
The shape and the design of the building provoked massive opposition at that time, even Arseny's mom, who had given him the land plot as a present could not take his side. Rumours have it that she called him a fool publicly adding that prior to the building being built only she knew that and now that became obvious to everyone.
Oh God! how many times we saw the architecture deviding opinions so dramatically, but the only reason our cities do not look blunt and boring is because of such "fools".
And the turret on the back is the so-called Mosseltorg building. Built in the Soviet constructivism style, it deserves a separate blip, will do it one day.
Enjoy Friday and the coming weekend, Blipworld!
