Lochranza pier Arran

The first screw steamer for the Campbeltown fleet was "Kintyre" 1868 she had a clipper bow and yachtlike lines. She was run down and sunk off Skelmorlie in 1907. In 1878 a larger similar steamer "Kinloch" joined the fleet lasting until 1926. "Davaar" 1885 -1943 was the third member running a service from Glasgow to Campbeltown.
The Company's final ship was "Dalriada" with her engines producing a fast 17kts. She was sunk in WW2 on the Thames while on war duty
