Flower Friday . . . Swan Plant Flowers

Today there was heavy smoke haze over the hill behind me and I could smell smoke in the air.  In the afternoon a wind picked up and cleared the skies.  Coming out of the supermarket this afternoon I saw a plume of smoke from the north of Nelson city.  Fires behind us and fires in front of us.  Fortunately it was put out relatively quickly.  The T.V news is making events sound dramatic.  It is disrupting a lot of people but being in the area shows how you have to view the news with a critical eye.
The swan plants are flowering and growing their unique swans filled with fluffy seeds.  I will have to get back into routine and catch up with you all.
