Reeds and ripples

Thanks to everyone for the hearts and stars showered on yesterday's barn owl. It was so special to watch them hunting - apparently there are five living in the area, so clearly a good place to visit.

I wasn't feeling 100% today, having finally succumbed to the chesty virus that's going round the family, so I only went on a short walk along the river. After a blustery morning with some squally rain, the afternoon proved to be bright and breezy (not like me!). I couldn't resist these colourful reflections on the River Nene, which seemed a perfect choice for Abstract Thursday, and required virtually no manipulation.
