Happy New Year

I travelled over to Manchester today to look at the Chinese New Year decorations. I particularly like the red lanterns - these are in St Ann’s Square, along with the customary representation of the new year’s animal - this year a pig - see extras.
Before this, my first call was The Lowry gallery to revisit the matchstick men and to see some of the Pre-raphaelite sketches of which Lowry was very fond. Wonderful!
