Sculptures in wood
This morning I went to my art group at The Qube in Oswestry. Every month they have a new exhibition from local artists and this month is a superb display of wooden sculptures by Frank Triggs. He's a very talented sculptor and artist (as is his son) and has produced work all over the country.
I've know the family for many years as our sons were friends at school and formed a band that used to practice in their barn.
My favourite piece is on the left entitled Saint but the other pieces are beautiful and unusual too. The main one on the back wall is called Boy between and is a boy swimming in the surf.
I'm off to a Wildlife Trust meeting tonight which is about the ecology of the Montgomery Canal. It should be interesting.
