Mary Mary Quite Contrary

Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row

I met a friend for a drink in the Jolly Judge and we had good ol' Mary to one side and the open fire to the other. Ah, nice.

I never associated that rhyme with Mary, Queen of Scots when I was growing up but apparently it might be about her. Well there you go!
