Mrs Puddleduck

A wet and windy night was followed by a very windy day and at the moment the big fluffy clouds are scuttling across a lovely blue sky.

JJ and I ventured out to Harrold Country Park this morning, and boy was I glad I'd taken my hat as there was a definite chill in the air as I was blown along.

There were dozens of Tufted ducks (I think) and a few Gadwall along with the odd swan or three on both the small and large lakes.  Ducks aren't my speciality when it comes to the bird world, but definitely something I need to learn.

The Mallards tend to congregate round the feeding station near the café and you are soon surrounded by them, so I know this one is a female Mallard and was an easy choice for today's blip.

I'm enjoying looking at people's choices of country flags and have to admit that a few years ago I'd have gone for the Union Flag, but these days I think the English get a bit short-changed and I need to stick up for "us".  Mind you if there'd been a Cornish flag I'd have gone for that.
