...in abundance on the shelves of toy shops and department stores and I must admit to not having found Ken in 'work mode' as yet.

Barbie's 130+ careers are plentiful and varied  and Ken has apparently had at least 40 occupations...mainly Fashionista from what I've seen so far.
However 'Ken Doll Fab Facts' say his main professions are 'Beach Bum' 'Tourist',  'Escort' and 'Prince'.
