Grr!!!!

David drove down to his girlfriend's house in Harrow and at 11.56pm he received a fine for driving down the bus lane shown here. There is no advance signage, it was his first time driving down that road - by the time you see the tiny bus lane sign (it was snowing at the time!) it is too late to veer off and try to get through the narrow 6 ' 6" lane to the right, especially at night when there was no other traffic around to give an indication of what's expected. 

His girlfriend and her Mum drove there for us last night to take photos - when the road is wet you can't even see the signs on the road because of the glare of the streetlight.  I am usually of the opinion you pay up because you can't possibly win an appeal but this one is has made me really cross! So today I shall be using the opportunity to rest my knee by composing an appeal to Harrow council. Grrr!!!!
