In the Apricot Orchard

Before it was Silicon Valley, the Santa Clara Valley was nicknamed "The Valley of Heart's Delight", and was filled with orchards.  Our town has kept a little piece of apricot orchard for the sake of tradition, although the city offices, community center and library have grown up around it.  Right now the grass is crazy green, and the acid yellow wild mustard is flowering, but while the almonds are blossoming, it will be a while before the apricots burst into bloom.   I took my wide lens to the orchard today for Wide Wednesday - a fun challenge, thank you Steveng for hosting.
