Pine tree issue

The neighbor's pine seems to have a problem as the top two feet have turned brown. The rest is still nicely green. Hope it survives.
This morning it was 41. Now it is 15 and dropping. I guess the cold front that was predicted has made it here. We only have a few flurries but the mountains are getting up to two feet of snow. At least the skiers are happy.
