The River Brathay, Elterwater

First day of the season out with the guests, and we parked at Elterwater and walked along the river to Elterwater, then further to the meanders of the Brathay. It was quite a breezy day, giving some ripples, but the high water levels, brought about by yesterday's rapid snow melt meant the river was flowing very fast. We thought reflections were out for the day, but patience and perseverance gave us a few periods of relatively calm water, which we could smooth out a touch more with a big stopper.
