Crossing the border ...

0645 from our local station and 0730 from Waverley to London. The photo was taken from The Royal Border Bridge over The Tweed. at Berwick.

Successful meetings in central  London from 1300 to 1700 and then walked back to King's Cross for the  1800 train home.

I was trying the train there and back as an alternative to the plane. The train is slower and more expensive but when you add in the time and expense of getting to and from the airports at either end the train is marginally quicker. and possibly even cheaper. The train also serves complimentary food and drinks, in first class, and, of course, there is space to work too. (Advance booked ticket with railcard makes first class very affordable.)

In fact I am sending this Blip from the train home. I definitely could not do that from the plane!

London really is a young person's city, I think. I saw very few "older" people as I walked to  and from my meetings today.

The other remarkable thing about all my train journeys today is that they have all been on time!

Maybe things are looking up after all?
