Hoy Sound (Day 1372)

Work this morning was to change a kitchen sink and a couple of sets of taps. The customer had been supplied with a sink after having the old sink measured by the supplier. Having been assured that it was the correct size, I got on with taking the old sink out and preparing to put the new sink in place. Unfortunately it was slightly smaller than the hole in the worktop it was supposed to sit in. There followed phone calls to various suppliers to see if anything was available which would be suitable, with no luck. I refitted the old sink with a new tap, leaving the customer to decide what they want to do longer term.
I was home for a late lunch and a quick catch up with my beautiful wife before I made my way to Stromness to deal with a couple of radiator valves which weren't working properly. Before heading home I took a trip down to the shore to get a blip.
Back home later, I spent a while in the garage sorting my pile of scrap into bags of copper and brass. Space is becoming a bit limited and I may need to make a trip to the scrapyard soon.
