Waitangi Day

Today is a public holiday "Waitangi Day". In commemorates the signing of the Treaty between  European and Maori on the 6th February 1840 at Waitangi.

Over the past few years it has been interesting to see what pans out at the treaty grounds in terms of activists and arguments.

No celebrations locally here today.
