The Year of the...Squirrel?

Dear Diary,

It is the Chinese New Year today...the year of the Pig.  Since I don't have any pigs, here is Rudy!  He was wondering why there isn't a Year of the Squirrel.  Good question.  If there was a Maine zodiac there would be.  There would be a year of the moose, and the year of the beaver, and the year of the white tail deer too.

Well, it did reach 50F yesterday and today is supposed to be the same.  It is already 30F this morning.  The Snowhenge is history and the ice has melted off the roof.  I was able to go into town without a heavy jacket.  What a joy!  I will enjoy it today because tomorrow we will return to more seasonable temperatures, it is February in Maine after all!
