Hot Hawk

Popped out to the wedding venue this morning to see B and finalsie a few details for their big day tomorrow.  Whilst it was hot and sunny this afternoon, this morning was a bit cloudy.........perfect for pictures!  I'm quietly hoping for a similar day tomorrow so their pictures can be shot without the heavy shadows that a typical blue-sky day brings.

On the drive home I spied this chap just sitting in a paddock.  The lens is stretched to it's limit, so the pic isn't that good, but it served to remind me that whilst we're suffering with the heat, so too is all the wildlife who, despite the heat, still have to hunt for food each day.  I hope this chap had enjoyed a wee feast at some point - he looked totally pooped just sitting here.
