Moon flower
Last summer I thought I had lost my moon flower. It doesn't like the frosts in Christchurch and always dies back. Previously it has self seeded. As no seedlings appeared last year and I searched on the internet for someone selling them without success. Then late this spring one tiny seedling appeared, it is now about half a metre high. With five huge flowers about to open, I hope it will produce more seeds this year. They are amazing to watch open, the spirals unfold fairly quickly to a bell/lily like flower.
